Reading my own blog, I was looking for a new job a year ago. Funny how I put it into words too. Complaining complaining mumbling mumbling. ha ha.. My wish did come true 10 months later. It was a big decision to resign for a BIG BIG company that you could climb a so called the corporate ladder to "high ranks". For me, the decision was definitely for better. It was so clear to me. Maybe only to me..and my husband...not my parents...not others... But mums just cannot stand looking at her own daughter'd sad face everyday.

Now I'm working in my own company. Sound wonderful, but let me rephrase it. Now I'm working in my own small start-up. We are just a start-up, but everything we do matter. One email to employees could inspire them and make them devote to the company as much as they do to their own families. The hours you put in will bear fruit.

Though, I still get a grin on my face when I get to go out to a department store or somewhere outside during office hours. (While everyone is working, you know what I mean?) he he he~ Since we were young, my sister and I, would have this extra large grin on our faces with a super cheerful heart on the inside, when somehow mum took us out on a school day, while everyone was at school. You know what I mean? ha ha

So, now I can pray more, meditate more, smile more, I guess. I don't have to be afraid of sleep driving on the way home. I don't get paid, but I don't have to spend as much as I did before. I get to sleep longer and that improves my health.

I'm just tired.. I just feel unappreciated and I'm looking for a new job!!!

It's Friday night and I'm just wasting my time watching Ally Mcbeal on DVD until midnight. Tomorrow I have to go to Siam to do a test on "Customer opinion" on our products, aka "a survey". What am I? Who am I, doing all these works? Commuting from one office to the other almost on a daily basis and still was complained that I didn't file the "on duty" applications. And yet there are papers, proposals, minutes I have to do and the brief...like.."What's the conclusion? What's the situation right now? What was it last time and what is the 'next action'?" So why didn't you join the meetings?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boss???

Someone seems appreciative. Some call me "Wonder girl" (who knows everything). Most are friendly. But some are just so sucking life out of my life, by never be satisfied, unappreciative, by looking but not seeing. I just feel I'm over used.

The tendons in my feet stiffen because I'm too tired. I go home late. I solve problems. I listen to complaints and try to come out of them with win-win solutions, the continuous improvement, right? It's what they say. I wonder if I go home late one night but do not get home, will anyone ever feel they are the cause of death? Ha ha funny... It will be just another "accident."

I'm beginning to feel sick of this 'most admired company' as they are saying so.

I just wish I don't have to eat so I can do something more useful and meaningful to the world than putting food on the table and roof over head.

Honda Home Energy Station

Honda has operated an experimental Home Energy Station in Torrance, California, since 2003. The Home Energy Station, which generates hydrogen from natural gas, is designed to provide heat and electricity for the home through fuel cell cogeneration and to supply fuel for a hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle.

Honda has worked in cooperation with technology partner Plug Power, Inc., to reduce size and increase convenience in each subsequent generation of the Home Energy Station. In 2007 Honda developed Home Energy Station IV—which is even less expensive and better suited for home use than previous versions. CO₂ emissions for a household using the Home Energy Station are 30% lower than those for an average household using a gasoline-engine car and commercial electricity.

Honda believes in a future society powered by hydrogen, and we are serious about our commitment to contribute to the development of refueling solutions we can all live with.

Uhm...Apart from Jet planes, Honda is going to create a Hydrogen powered home system as well... Interesting. But this system is generated to initially solve Fueling station for Hydrogen-powered vehicles. I think they still have a long way to go, but it's so Honda.

Solar-powered LED road markers could light future roadways

The British have shed some light on night driving with the invention of the Astucia SolarLite flush road stud. The stud emits LED light, which is powered by small solar panels. The new stud tech is present on 120 British roads, and night-time accidents are down a dramatic 70% since the devices were installed. Amazingly, the SolarLite road stud gives drivers 900 meters of visibility, which increases reaction times to over 30 seconds. Reaction time with standard reflector studs is just 3.2 seconds.

I'm just so extremely tired. -_-||| I thought to myself how old I am now working until one in the morning and woke up again at 5 to finish the report just in time before the meeting, just like in the university! Oh... I'm just so tired. And I flew to the roof today when after the presentation, my manager told me to finish another paper and give it to him tomorrow! What? And that time was around 4 pm already.

Anyway, I could calm myself down not that long after the anger session...
But I'm just so tired with the load of work....

Pain, the old friend, has invaded my feet! I'm in pain again, especially in the left foot, but I try not to limp. Like mum used to tell me to walk straight. She said the way we walk affects the whole body structure.

ouuuu...and my room is felt with the smell of a balm again. This time the brand is ยาหม่องตราเทวดานางฟ้า or Angels and Angies brand, not that magical balm anymore.

Who said this plantar thing isn't caused by stress? Stress is definitely the cause in my case, apart from cruel shoes... Every time I have much stress mentally or physically, I would be in pain.

My department had set up a "workshop" at Puk tien, Petchaburi province. The first day was supposed to be 'the' workshop and the second day was scheduled for a road trip back with many stop overs. I wanted to join the workshop, but I couldn't sacrifice my Sunday on the road. I've just bought a new book that I really really want to read and I have many things to blog in the developed.thailand. I tell myself that it's my duty to blog about Thailand in Thai as a good citizen of the country and the world. So I drove to Puk Tien and back, with my husband as a co-pilot in the front passenger seat.

Though, what a shame the workshop was actually 'not' a workshop. We actually did nothing. The activity ended about 30mins after it started, and the boss' boss who initiated this project did not join. I just sat at the resort's by-the-beach restaurant with my husband and..Blog.

Though, Puk Tien is still a beauty! It's our blessing that the world is composed of seas, sand, and sky, with flowers and trees.

Sad news again. My friend's dad passed away. He had a stroke and passed away after a by-pass operation.

Though, the scary part for me is the temple where the funeral is held. It's Wat Sudtiwararam. Well, maybe one of the typical temples in the inner Bangkok. The City has surrounded and encircled the temple. Houses and buildings around the temple were like using the same wall with the temple's. The temple also wants to be able to hold many funerals I guess. Salas or shelters for funeral were so clustered. I had to walked passed many funerals before I could get through to my friend's father funeral. What's more, the place was the sala closest to the cremation place...

It was so scary. When I left the place, met my sister, and talked to mum on the phone, I cried! I don't know really how can people live around the cremation place. I really thought to myself, if I will be really ok living in Thailand...

I just watched the news this evening. This year Nathan's 4th of July hot dog eating contest, an American Joey Chestnut won! Not Tsunami Kobayashi the six-time defending champion anymore.

Joey Chestnut from California gobbled down 66 hot dogs in 12 minutes, a rate of one per 10.9 seconds! This is a new record. The last best in last year Nathan's Famous contest by Kobayashi was 53 1/2 dogs. Kobayashi also broke his own record by gulping 63 hot dogs, coming in on a second place, despite the jaw arthritic he had before the contest. Apparently the winning of Joey Chestnut was quite an emotional experience for American people.

During univ, I always wondered what life is. I kept asking myself "What is life?" and I lost into finding a meaning to it. Now though as I've seen more of the world, met more people, seen more of the life itself, I don't ask that question anymore. I just think, life is...now! It is this very moment. It's life. Funny how things unfold with me.

I'm married to my 'best friend' from univ.
Now that everything seems to be fine, I constantly have health problems.
I used have to walk with a cane and be temporarily disabled for 6 months while I was in Singapore.
I work in the car industry and am happy about it, but now I'm more and more excited with the IT industry and am sad that not many of my friends are techies.
Some of my friends have children now and I'm becoming an aunt!
Me and Japan. Something Japanese always popped up in my life. Now my sister is transferring to Japan for 1 year.

The reason I think about it again is actually because I watched a Japanese drama series called "Lunch Queen" or "Lunch no Jo-ou" or "สูตรรัก ข้าวห่อไข่". I was fun but it ended not so impressively. It ended "just like that" or in Japanese "so no mama". The story itself and how it was told were good.

It's about life of a family that owns a restaurant full of passion in keeping their restaurant running with the good old taste their father has kept for 30 odd years.

It makes me think about life that sometimes we wait from something good to happen and sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the good things bring bad experience that follows. Sometimes the bad is not so bad after all.

But the Lunch queen could have ended better! There should have been conclusions...like 10 years later...this guy got married with this girl so on and so forth.

Anyway, life is NOW, my friend. Take a deep breath and enjoy every moment of it.

Sunday of pain : laser treatment

I have tiny tiny dark skin outgrowths on my neck and my tummy, lots of them. They appeared about 6 months ago and lately maybe 2-3 months ago there were a lot more on my neck. Though quite small, it's a bit annoying to see. So I went to see a doctor last week and he said it was a genetic disease. True. My dad had it. My mum had it. When they get older though. The doctor said it would just appear at the age after 30 years old once, and again after retirement, 60 years-old. Well, he said mine came a bit early. I'm not even 30 yet. Though, he said, when aggravate it are: rubbing or having a baby, the time when the hormone changes. For me, I think because I wore a necklace more often. You know, they are fashionable right now, wearing a necklace on a plain top. The outgrowths are not harmful. They will not develop into cancer, but they could grow bigger and might get inflamed eventually.

So, today is the day I had "laser treatment" appointment. Oh.. what an experience! I used to have this treatment before for a mole on my face, but this time was different! When you have 2-3 moles and like 200++ spots.. The smell when the laser burns the skin spots off was like the smell of burnt meat. It's also painful in the area that the analgesic cream was not applied, of course. Also, after the treatment, it's quite painful. Well, you are covered with sores. Now I have bloody spots on my face, quite creepy actually and I have to have a day (or two) off of work.

Here are some tips for you if you are going to have laser treatment on your skin:

Have an appointment on Friday, so you have Sat and Sun to rest
Make sure the nurse applies the analgesic cream on all areas to be treated
If there are quite a few spots, make sure you have a least half a day. It takes time.

Well, they put transparent plasters on the treated areas and I can only take it off after 3 days or 1 week. I cannot take shower. The doc said it's very important to keep the 'wounds' dry and clean. This is just my first day. If I find some more tips, I'll update the list.

By the way, Sunday at the hospital was very crowded!

Google and Hybrid car?

Google.org is now developing plug-in hybrid vehicles. In the RechargeIT initiative, a 11 million USD programme, Google is retrofitting Toyota Priuses and Ford Escape Hybrids into plug-in hybrids whose batteries can be charged through a regular socket. They announced the initiative on June 18 and unveiled the first of their plug-in fleet at the parking lot of the Silicon Valley HQ. They have a plan to build 100 of these plug-ins to be rented to their employees! The reason car manufacturers think that hybrid technology has a brighter future than the plug-in is that you will still have to burn coal or polute the environment one way or another in order to get the electricity to charge those vehicles. You polute the environment either directly or indirectly. For Google, however, they try to avoid this by charging the plug-ins with solar energy. On June 18 event, they also turned on their 1.6-megawatt solar-system, the biggest in the US providing about third of the power used at the HQ.

According to their website, the immediate goals of this initiative are:
1. Recharge a Car
2. Recharge the Grid
3. Recharge the Planet

Takeru "Tsunami" Kobayashi, the hot dog eating champion was diagnosed with "Jaw arthritis"! He wrote on his blog, which is in Japanese, on Sunday that he injured himself while practicing for the coming 4th of July Nathan's hot dog eating contest! Please note "while practicing"! He titled the post "Occupational hazard" and said "my jaw refused to fight anymore." It seems pretty serious. He can open his mouth as wide as a fingertip only! "I was continuing my training and bearing with the pain but finally I destroyed my jaw'', he said. Scary..that must hurt real bad. He actually won Nathan's hot dog eating contest 6 times in a row, but he has to say bye for this year.

Beware hot dog eaters and BIG eaters, you might have jaw arthritis!!

Save the whales and Stop whaling! I condemn Japan for whaling. Whales are enormous and they live in the ocean. They live in family. They do have their own language. I watched the news this evening and Japan's whaling season is beginning. I caught the most horrible sight of Japanese whaling on TV. Small students poked at a B-I-G dead whale in a place that looked like a whale slaughterhouse. I'm sad. They eat whale meat...and enjoy it and say that it's their culture. There was news before that too that Japan threatened to leave the International Whaling Commission. And that are they gonna do? Hunting whale freely and inconsiderately?

I think sometimes when the life moves too quickly and you sort of cannot catch up. You work too hard to catch that your body and the immune system cannot take it anymore, you fall sick. That's the reason why you get sick working too hard.

And when you stay at home while everyone else is at work, it's like the busy world stops and you can retreat in your own world. You recuperate. Like you say 'time-out' 'I need to rest' 'I need a day off', so that you can gather your strength and get back to the field.

Today is when I call for a time-out. Have been so tired.

This is so funny dude! Check it out. Doogtoons.com You can also find funny animations there. Also just listen to their podcast. For those who don't have ipod, you can just download the MP3 file I guess. I listened to the first episode and it was hilarious!! What I loved about it was that they talked about Spiderman 3! I have always wanted to write "Dear Spiderman3 editor" post. The movie was a disappointment. This episode of doogtoons was "Summer sequels". They talked about sequels and they were discussing which part was the worst part of the Spidy. Yeah, I think everyone agrees that the Spiderman3 sucked.

Just go and download and listen to them. They are funny! Recommended podcast of the day. Thumbs up! Great job, guys.

Would it be happier if I were a musician? I can be with music ALL THE TIME. I heard a song played today along the way to the office and it immediately made me feel happier and I just said to myself, "I love music". I just want to have time to play piano and 'practice practice practice!' again. I just want to sing...and dance...and write my own songs...and just play them. Nobody sees me much singing dancing..but it's what I really-- like to do! But my father always says if you face a problem or you are unhappy about something, you should look at yourself and what you could do first..

And for me now? I'll just take a deep breath...and try to find time to play music again...

I'm just bored of a daily life like this. This is how it goes.
5:40-45 am: get up from bed
6:00 am: decide what to wear
6:15 am: "honey I'm goinh to work now" and rush downstairs
6:20 am: "Sawasdee mum, see you" and hop into the car
6:30-7:00 am: make-ups time
7:00 am: "bye Sis, drive carefully, good luck", hop off the car and hop into the BTS and have a cold boring BTS ride
7:15 am: get to Plenchit and teeter on Wittiyu potholed pavement to the office or just get on a crowded shuttle bus to the office
7:30 am: Get to the office, set up a laptop with a grumpy boss in the background
He is ready to complain harshly about something if you start talking to him.
7:45 am: eat cone flake (wheat flake)in a coffee cup and just feel sick every time 'cos too much milk I pour in.
7:50 am: people start coming to the office and the boss starts complaining about his bosses....and so I blog..just blog
8:00 am: Work starts and I open .xls files and continue doing "proposal" consisting of sales graphs, detailed product specification, research data, etc...
11:55 am: Comes lunch time, I have to go to the other floor to warm my lunch and the people there are so hostile, like we are in the battle of taking over the microwave. I have to go down early to get to the MW(Microwave)B4 they do. Otherwise I'd have to wait for 5 - 10 mins.
12:15 pm: have lunch, browse the Net, read newspaper, blog...
1:00 pm: back to the .xls proposal or .xls sales summary and reply mails, set up a meeting, answering phone calls.
2:30 pm: drop by a friend's desk and ask him to go making a cup of coffee together
2:40 pm: feel sick 'cos the coffee was too strong
5:00 pm: start seeing people pack their things and go home and get a glimpse of the boss's face coming out of a meeting room as if he has seen ghosts, and start hearing him murmuring as if the ghost has got into him. I continue 'producing' my proposal or switch to blog or start packing and go home. If not...I wrestle with the graphs and..
6:00 pm or later or much later: I go home.
7:30 - 8:00 pm: I'm home, have dinner, and wait for my newly wed hubby to come home from his dinner with his family
9:00 pm: Hubby does his work on his computer. I take shower.
10:00 pm: I blog...and I go to bed..

2. Read (only a bit)

I'm not actually that good with coffee yet. Drinking it when you are neither stressed out nor sleepy, it will make your heart beat too irregularly...for a person who is a coffee drinking novice like me...

Offerings to the holy spirits

Today we made food offerings to the spirit houses in our house. We have 1..2..3.....4 spirit houses in our house. We are actually 2 families living in a 3 plots of land and we have 4 spirit houses all together in our land. There are the 4 holy spirits that protect the 4 directions; North, South, East, West, or ท่านท้าวจตุมหาราชทั้งสี่, the grand father spirit or ท่านพ่อปู่, the goddess of the two banyan trees or เจ้าแม่ไทรคู่, and the grand father and grand mother spirits or ศาล ตา ยาย. When I was young we had a big banyan tree in our land and there was once that a person asked to come into our house to pay respect to the banyan tree spirit. Someone at that time also said they saw a lady in Thai traditional costume standing in front of the banyan tree in our house. Sound spooky but I've never really actually seen her. I just see her in my mind like when you think of someone you know and you see her in your mind. Something like that.

This time mum dreamt there were 2 big elephants standing in front of the 4 holy spirits house and she said that meant it's time for us to give offerings to holy spirits in our house already. We hadn't done it for 3-4 years already. So, that's my house, very superstitious, very religious. But strange, mum always dreams of something of meaning. It might later come true or it would tell her something she's mulled over. The morning before the Tsunami hit Thailand and Southeast Asia, mum dreamt of a B-I-G waves hitting the shore and sweeping people and things away. Uhh..I know that's a bit scary.

And then about half an hour after the offering, the rain was pouring down! We had to rush out and take all the food and everything inside and get ourselves all soaked. Though it was ok since all the ritual and prayer had been done. We just had to take things inside sooner than we had planned to.

That's done. Though , later in the day I found out that MY TOSHIBA Portege R150 that I'm using is totally mute! Before it was the speakers only that didn't work and I had to use a headphone to listen to Windows welcome tone. But now everything is mute. No sound comes out in the headphone either! Gosh...apart from other problems with it...this again. I hate computer manufacturers!!! They don't care about consumers. Just churn out low quality products!!!

Think I have to go to bed now. Tomorrow is Monday and also the first day of a new school semester which means it will be jam packed from the village exit.

Being married

I'm a Mrs. now! We actually got married on the 1 May 2007 at 11:49 am at Sapansung district office. Today I just went to the district office again to change the status in my ID card from Miss >> to >> Mrs. They are open half day on Saturday. It feels a bit strange looking at the card and saw Mrs. in front of my name. I've been using Miss for almost 28 full years.

Well... Being married for me I think it's like another stage in life. You have one more person that you really care for and 'attach' to. Your family is extended. It's not only you anymore when you want to make a certain decision in life. I think it's very important that you marry a right person! Definitely. I know everyone knows that, but still some people like to fall for bad guys/gals.

For me being married is...much better than it was before. You always have a friend who understands. You always have someone to talk to and share your view with, especially when you are a person who looks at the world from a totally different angle from other people's. It's just sweeter, warmer, and happier. Don't you feel happier looking at the person you love doing his or her own things? The person you want to be around.

Many of my friends are getting married this year. Some have already got married last year. We went to their weddings together. Happy times. For our own wedding though, I might be around the beginning of next year, maybe Jan or Feb. We are not sure yet. Sometimes it's just too difficult to decide and please everyone including yourself when you have an extended family. Well, we are going to make it. I just don't think about it anymore. When the time comes, I think we can decide on a right thing to do that will be best for us.

I don't know what the future may be, but I'd rather be happy with what it is right now, with the people I love as they are with me right now and enjoy myself in every moment. I would rather do that.

Oh...I'm sooo tired..

Last night Keng had a diarrhoea and he spent half of the night in the bathroom. I was up to find him medicine and made him a drink to keep him from dehydrating too much. He had a bad cramp and this morning he had a very high temperature too. But mum is taking care of him now. Mum also has a cold.

I'm so tired and sleepy. All the way to the office I was just listening to the ipod while reading a book at the same time. Like "Leave me alone" kind of thing. There are so many things to do here at work. First thing I did when I got here this morning was to go to a supermarket in the building and bought a BONCAFE Brazilian Gold coffee! 'Cos I heard Sinatra said "they got lots of coffee in Brazil..." I don't know if it's related. Anyway, I think I should stop writing and go make a Brazilian coffee right now.

And it's raing outside here now. Luckily the lunch my mum cooked was so good today. ^__^

When you are tired, you should start counting your blessings...

ps: The BONCAFE Brazilian Gold coffee is ok, but it doesn't have the 'aroma'. It's ok and not that strong.

I came back home early today. I made myself to. I didn't think I could stand having another late night at work. Apart from a daily dose of vitamin supplements, I need some good night sleep as well! I need to go to bed early tonight.

But before that I have a story to tell. We had a meeting today and there I heard something strange. The manager from the production side said, "Any other questions on six tofu?" I was like tofu?? six-tofu? Then it hit me (in the head).... 624 = six tofu ha ha ha I was just giggling to myself. No one really laughed (or even realised) or anything. So I must tell you here.

I'm really very sleepy right now. Think I have to go now. The "Holiday" is not good for a non-holiday day...

I drove there, turned on the computer, ate my packed lunch, finished 2 "tasks", chatted with friends (actually complaining about the company and the bosses) and drove back home....

How do you feel about my life reading the sentence? I feel it's so BORING!!!!!!
And tomorrow I have to go to the office again. I don't mind working on some Sats or even Suns, but the 'environment' in the office..has turned bad. Exactly what I mean is..I think I'm doing too much. The person who should do my jobs now should be a level higher than I am. The question is "what are they doing?" And some friends I don't know what they are doing. They just kept asking for my help! Why can't they just finish their jobs and then we can discuss later to improve what they did? Can't we do that? I'm so tired..and my bosses, she is so irritating. She just wants to be in the front, but she doesn't lead! And when I helped her, she got angry! I think I'm complaining to much now. It's making me feel awful.

I'm so tired today! I had a meeting from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. The meeting was supposed to start at 4, but some 'busy management' couldn't spare some time to join my important meeting. We had to wait, wait, wait, and wait.

I feel so tired that I just want to show 'em that "I can do it! and I can do it well too!" Apart from a busy day work and a long meeting, I had to face a bossy boss and noisy slacking friends as well. It was so irritating. The boss likes to pick on my smallest little words that to her ears they sound wrong. And for the friends, they just don't do their jobs and keep asking me for help! I often found myself repeating "Mercy Mercy Mercy" in my mind. ha ha ha

China 's Moon rover

China is developing a atomic powered Moon rover for an unmanned exploration mission in 2012.
The six-wheeled rover is 1.5 m high and weigh 200 kg. It is designed to transmit video in real time, dig for and analyse soil samples, and produce 3D images of the lunar surface. The rover looks similar to Nasa's Spirit and Opportunity Mars explorers launched in 2003 and are still in operation. China plans to send an unmanned space ship to orbit the moon this year. The rover mission is next and a manned lunar voyage is planned for some time after 2017.

On Sunday, Google posted a link on the company's home page to a site offering consumers free high-speed wireless Internet through their home plumbing systems with a mock press release quoting Larry Page, a step-by-step online installation manual and a scatological selection of FAQs. Page said "...and today our Toilet ISP team is pleased to be leading the way through the sewers, up out of your toilet and - splat - right into your PC." The TiSP works with Microsoft's Vista but..septic tanks are incompatible with the system's requirements. The service would be offered in 3 speeds: Trickle, The No.2, and Royal Flush.

A 17-Year-old boy, Garyl Tan Jia Luo, was the first in Singapore and possibly Asia to be sentenced in court for "Wireless mooching" or piggybacking on an unsecured wireless network to surf the Internet. In Singapore, Tan was charged under the Computer Misuse Act for securing access without authority to a computer for the purpose of obtaining computer services. He got probation, but conviction could have brought him up to 3 years' imprisonment, a SGD 10,000 (Bt 212,680) fine, or both.

I feel like to want to cry. I feel like I want to fly away far and far away, to peace and loving kindness and just stay there. I feel like I'm locked in. I cannot speak my mind. I have feet but I cannot walk. I have hands but they are tied. I just want to cry. I am hurt. I am frustrated. I am beaten. My heart is broken. I want to breathe fresh air. I want to breathe in freedom.
I am uncomfortable. I now live under a roof of different rules. There are plenty of space here but I'm confined to stay in my room. I don't have anything to discuss with anyone. I am just here... Sometimes they just forget..that the child has grown up. Their child is growing old too and his/her life is shorter as a day goes by. He/she has to make decision for his/her own life now.

I tried my best to take in new culture, accept new rules. But this is just too much already. Sometimes when you love someone, you just have to let them be and support them to the best you can. Every being is responsible for their own life. Not you. Not me. They, themselves.

I pray for a peaceful mind from now until eternity...

March is passing so quickly. It's now end of the month, which is at the same time the end of the first quarter too! Oh, what a ride I had! First I was preparing for the wedding. The date had been set already. It would be(have been) on the 26 Aug Sun). I chose the place already. I really wanted to have a garden wedding. So I chose Suanthip. It's such a nice place for a garden wedding. It was exactly what we wanted. But then our dream fell apart when we discussed it with Keng's family. His family had a totally different idea on E-v-e-r-ything! We wanted a 400-guest garden wedding, but his father's idea was to have a 1,000-guest wedding in a well-known hotel.

..Oh well..
Not only that, my parent and Keng's parent had a B-I-G fight that night we discussed the wedding! Basically they disagreed on everything! I was definitely on my mum's side and I think Keng was too.
So we resolved to have no wedding at all. Heart broken but it'd be unbearable to go through another fight. It was supersonic chaotic really!!! I had never had such a scene before. It's like in a soap opera really. Never thought it would happen to me, but it hit me right into the teeth. ha ha

..Sorry gals you cannot be my bridesmaids anymore.. and no more Thai costume-theme party...

Acupuncture ฝังเข็ม & (bitter) Chinese medicine

My feet are still in pain, though not as much..

I have now switched to Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I go to Saint Louis hospital on Sathorn road. There is a Chinese medicine clinic there. It's quite good, I think. The doctors there can speak Thai, but they still have the Chinese accent in their Thai. They all graduated from China. They take notes in Chinese. It's quite interesting, this branch of knowledge. First they stick the needles in the area that you have pain. Or if you have allergy they might put the needle into you face or your forehead in between the eyebrows. It looks scary as it sounds. My sister has allergy and she went for the acupuncture as well, and as soon as the needle went into the upper part of her cheek, her tear fell. Not because of the pain, but because of the fear. ha ha Oh, my poor sister.

Then after all the needles are in place, they will just let the electric current pass through pairs of needles. You will feel like somebody is constantly pinching you. It's ok for me 'cos I used to go to physiotherapy when I was in Singapore before. They let the current through my feet as well. Well, but for my sister, it's different. She has never felt what it was like, so as soon as she felt the pinch she screamed, "Too strong! Too STRONG!, Oh, I think it's too strong!!!" ha ha Then she was pinched there on the bed for 30 mins. It takes around 30 mins for one session. Then the doctor gave us packets of Chinese herbs to brew. On the first week I burnt one packet of the medicine! So the nurse recommended us to get an electric medicine brewer!!! How advanced! The Chinese tea pot look is still preserved, but you can just plug it in! Wait for 1.5 hr and the (bitter) medicine is ready for you! It's so convenient, though the medicine won't test better.

I just learnt that Chinese medicine isn't just bitter. It has other tastes that are not possible to describe, but I tell you, it's not pleasant.

I read an article on Freakonomics blog this morning. It's about *Happiness*
Everyone is interested in happiness these days. It's true. We can see marketing strategy from big corporations use happiness as a key message. Not to mention "peaceful happiness" you are told you can get from going to exotic resorts, practicing yoga, doing new age meditation. Everyone is craving for happiness.

This is what you get when you search for happiness on the web.

I think it's interesting and it's true. You don't get disappointed so easily when you have low expectations. I think it's good to have low expectations on other people and things that you cannot control. Sometimes we just have to do our best. And best is best. We don't need to worry about anything anymore and that is happiness I guess.

Oh Toshiba!!

My Laptop collapsed again! Suddenly it failed to start up. With my boyfriend help, we opened it up and made an operation on it! No, actually the hard disk cable was loose, somehow. We had to open it up, took it out, pressed the cable into the thing a bit, and then put it back. There! Windows starts up now! Oh...Toshiba...

I'm using Toshiba Protege R150. It's small. It's light. It's great. But I've been having lots of problems with it. First, the keyboard, suddenly the key "4" cannot be used. I had to have the whole keyboard replaced. Second, the speakers, the sound was distorted. So I had them changed. It worked well for a while, and I cannot hear any kind of sound from them since. Oh, this is not to mention the dead pixels... It brakes my heart every time I see my face on the screen with white dots on it!! And it's such a troublesome to go to the service centre having to take leave from work and wait there for 2 hrs (at least).

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy Toshiba, but you have to be really careful! I tell you, man, the workmanship / the assembly is bad... My boyfriend said it's lucky for me it didn't blow up! How come it's so dangerous using a laptop. Should I sign up for an insurance to cover injuries from using my personal laptop computer??

...I'm disappointed with my laptop and the money I paid for it.

Anyway, if you have the same problem with your Toshiba, maybe you can try open it up and tighten its cables inside a bit. Doing a bit of detox for it, it might work. Let me know and I'll teach you how!

Is it a normal life?

After the engagement, life is back to normal. But still it seems I cannot finish my things. There seems to be so many things I need to do but haven't yet done. I still have not finished selecting photos to develop...and to put on the blog, of course. And many other things that I want and really want to do, but haven't done.

And the work, I'm getting bored of this work now. It's the same old things everyday. Asking for a proposal today and want it this evening. They even say blog is a niche!! It's just where people write their diaries!! There are more to blog than that! So, that Sunday afternoon in the office, I was just too sick of the idea of coming to work at the first place that I didn't want to jump into their conversation and tell them about blog. I just wanted to get my work done and come home.
I'm tired...

And today, because my company was going to 2 orphan homes to give away things and have some games to play with the children, I wanted to give some of my soft toys, some stationary, and some gifts to them too. I went to buy note books, pens, and cookies for them on Sat, and together with my soft toys to brought to the office to give to the department that was responsible for this event. BUT! I didn't realise that they were supposed to go today, this morning. So...I have to bring the stuff home again... I think it makes me feel bad that I don't have time to go shop anywhere even for stationary on weekday!

I think...now I just want to have some quiet time to do my own things, to read, to blog, to surf, to tidy up my room, and even unpack some of my stuff! Oh my! There are still boxes that I haven't opened! I just want to do that. I just want my own time, please... and some time for me to play piano, please...

I'm back!

It's been 2 months since I came back from Singapore. Oh, I've been so busy at work and everything! This the the first time in 2 months that I actually could sit down and relax.

There is both good news and bad news, though.
I'll have an engagement ceremony next week! The 9th of Dec. I'm excited about it. We have been to pick the ring. We went to tailor our costumes. It will be a Thai style ceremony and we will wear our Thai costumes. Though, it's quite tiring preparing for all those things. The wedding shop that we went to tailor our Thai costumes seemed nice and professional at first, but then when we got our clothes, our clothes weren't that neat and they didn't seem to really pay much attention. There was an ink mark on my bf's shirt collar! We had to bring it back after we were told my the dry clean shop that it was an ink mark and it couldn't be washed off. Such a troublesome. Don't ever go to this shop if you are thinking of wedding. It's called "Viva", close by to Kao san street. And it's not cheap at this shop either.

Now, the bad news is my grandfather has just passed away on Monday, early morning on Monday. It didn't come as a shock 'cos we went to see him at the hospital on Sunday evening. He was in a very critical situation. Mum and my sister were almost in tears. We were with him for about 30mins and were forced to come back because I fainted... Yes..me..
I was looking at my grandfather and in my thought I told him to follow the Buddha's light. I felt so poor for him. He was tired and in pain, I felt. I was telling him in my thought to follow the Lord Buddha's light. Then suddenly, I felt dizzy and I found it difficult to breathe. I wanted to go out of the room to get some air. Then when I turned to mum to tell her that I'd go wait outside, she was shocked to see my face. She said I was pale, and my lips had no colour. So, mum and my sister took my arms and helped me out off the room. On the way out, I could feel the weakness in my legs as if I couldn't take another step. By the time my sister put me on a wheeled office chair and push me out, I was almost half-conscious already. All the nurses were frozen. Didn't know what happened and didn't know what to do. So, everyone rush out off the room because of me. I mean dad followed quickly also. The grandfather was dad's father. We lost mum's father years back, since I was in high school. I felt better after I got out of the room.
So, this week we've been going to the funeral everyday, and the traffic was extra packed. There was once my boyfriend and I got to the temple when all the guests had just left.

It was a very tiring week...

And my feet are in pain again... >_<... hu hu At first it seemed like I'd recovered, but when all the stress came, along with a pair of pretty shoes, I feel the pain again. The shoes were a bit loose, so I couldn't walk properly in them I guess. I still massage my feet every night like Dr. Lim taught me. My friend will take me to a chinese sensei on Tue. I don't want to take Celeblex anymore...

Mum and dad have just come home from the last day of the funeral. I'd better go now.
